Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day tasks for a team of RSR’s.
  • Assume complete responsibility for obtaining profitable sales in the assigned area as established by the Sales Manager.
  • Establish with each RSR the specific objectives for their area of responsibility.
  • Provide feedback to RSR’s on acceptable standards of performance.
  • Capability to perform all duties required of an RSR and run routes as necessary to provide customer service, relief and/or training.
  • Maintain professional customer relationship through positive working relationships with all key accountholders.
  • Assist each route supervised with order control for maximum sales and minimum returns.
  • Execute and encourage all work to be performed with a safety-first mindset.
  • Support and adherence to Franz Core Values.
  • Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 Preferred Education/Experience

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, DOT physical, and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must have a clean driving record and provide a current driving abstract from the department of licensing.
  • Must have route sales experience; industry experience preferred.   

Critical Skills and Expertise

  • 1+ years of management or similar experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Must have a positive and safe work ethic, be a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-changing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, plus maneuver large bulky racks of product in and out of locations.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, reach, kneel and squat while loading/unloading delivery trucks and while shelving bakery products.
  • Must have ability to communicate with owners/managers and supervisors in grocery stores, restaurants and institutions.
